One last gut check before you fill out the application. Being a field guide isn’t all roses and rainbows, it’s hard work. We eat with a stick and clean our pots with dirt and sand. We make fires with sticks and stones and sleep in shelters made from tarps. The weather never drives us indoors; we thrive in hot summer temperatures and cold winter storms. We do all this while keeping our clients safe and the environment therapeutic.
This isn’t a walk on the beach where the tracks are washed away with every changing tide. We leave our tracks in stone and hardened desert ground. You don’t need experience to leave those kinds of tracks, we can teach you how we do it. But only you can provide the inner drive required to be one of us.
Still thinking about filling out that application? We thought so, you didn’t come all this way to quit.
